The
building dates back to 1893, and was originally the Taylor
Brothers Dry Goods Store, one of the first commercial businesses
in Burleson. Over the years, it has been home to the F & M
Bank, Bransom's Grocery Store, and Whitey's Pool Hall. In 1993
The Odoms opened the Smokehouse, following in and carrying on the
tradition of Dee Ann's Father, who was the owner of Ireland's
Chili & Barbeque Co., in Wichita Falls, Texas.
They successfully marketed their chili & barbeque throughout Texas before selling out to Ranch Style Beans, in Ft. Worth Texas. "My father taught me everything about barbeque, and we still use all of the famous old recipes", Dee Ann says. " We haven't changed them at all.
And a visit to the Smokehouse will easily prove why that's a good thing!
Hungry folks with hearty appetites enjoy Smokehouse Ribs, sliced beef, chopped beef, sausages, ham, and bologna with their favorite sides, including the best home-made red beans you'll ever eat. Be sure to save a little room for dessert, including Dee Ann's Buttermilk Pie, which is a singular taste treat not to be missed. It's made from Dee Ann's great-grandmother's 100 year old recipe.
You can't get THIS anywhere else!

Ask about the "Dog Patch" special, a bowl of those hearty red beans topped with chopped beef and barbeque sauce. And tell them at the Smokehouse, you saw them on localbizalliance.com.
