These have been pretty tough times for a lot of Americans lately, who quite frankly have not been used to, or have never even seen such times. Conflicting experts, guest speakers, and news anchors who will read anything on a teleprompter come hourly out of the television and radio streams. A polarized political landscape keeps the so called leaders we elect in permanent gridlock, confidently speaking soundbytes for their imagined constituents and no actual progress is made while the national debt spirals out of control and gas prices climb at the pump daily, shutting down manufacturing plants, terminating employment and closing small businesses across the country. Consumer debt climbs. Vacations are cancelled. Food prices rise. Bills dont get paid on time. Interest accrues. We feel that it's better to know what's happening, and why,  to make personal changes that can improve your situation.

With all of the conflicting information available to consumers, as well as politicians with agendas, it's hard for someone to know exactly where to stand on issues. Pretty much every average american has given up on the notion that our political leaders have their constituents best interests at heart.

An an electon comes this November. Neither major candidate offers any solution to the myriad problems facing the nation, which largely remains uninformed as to the causes and possible solutions to these problems.

To this end, we offer this collection of links, offering data and positive directions toward possible solutions. No one idea has surfaced that can address all of the problems, but we are of the opinion that unless energy solutions are arrived at, and soon, none of the other problems we face can be solved. You can't rely on TV news to give you the story. You can't rely on politicians, or poltical parties. You can't rely on us, either.  You have to do a little homework for yourself to stay informed. .

We'll start with these two, and recomend you check out Perot Charts first. It's a great presentation, and clearly delineates WHY we're going through many of the problems we face, using the culprit's own data. It's not the whole story, but it's a lot of information you need to know, and you paid for it, anyway. Then check out a proven leader with a plan.  T. Boone Pickens.  Make your own judgements.
